N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP. MOSES LEADS REDMOND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 30. The final match in the New Zealand amateur billiards championship between S. Moses (Wellington) and A. E. Redmond (Gisborne), was begun this evening. At the end of the first session of 750, Moses led Redmond by 116 points. In the early stages Moses piled up a score which Redmond could not equal, in spite of groat efforts. Scores: Moses, in play. 751; breaks, 30, 31, 36 unfinished, 37, 40, 41, 52, 57 (two). Redmond, 635; breaks, 32, 34, 33, 40, 65.
