standpoints for consideration. • The Axis Powers are obviously at pains to let the parties form their own principles for the direction of their particular lebenstraum. The roles of Berlin and Rome in the task of European reconstruction are clear and the parties are not being treated as objects ol Power politics, but as directors of their own mode of life.” MORE INCIDENTS RUSSIA & RUMANIA. REPORTED ASSURANCES BY MOLOTOV. (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) BUCHAREST. August 29. M. Molotov received M. Gafencu, giving certain assurances regarding Russian-Rumanian relations. Fresh frontier incidents include the shooting down of a Rumanian plane by three Soviet planes at Barlad, 20 miles within Rumania,. All leave for Rumanian troops has been stopped and reservists have been called up.
