QUESTION OF IMPORTANCE FOR NEW ZEALAND. GOVERNMENT CONSIDERATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The question of sending a New Zealand representative to Washington is receiving the close and careful attention of the Government, the Prime Minister stated, in replying to an urgent question in the House of Representatives yesterday. Mr Lee asked whether the Government had come to a decision. He said the opinion had been expressed that the Australian appointment of Mr R. G. Casey as Minister Plenipotentiary had, in the existing situation, been of great benefit to Australia. “The matter is a very important one. and it deserves and is receiving very earnest and close attention," the Prime Minister replied.
