MASTERTON STOCK SALE
EARLY VALUES SHADE EASIER.
Prices were a shade easier on last week at the Masterton stock sale today. There was a good yarding of stock offered, but there was a marked tendency for the sale to drag in the opening stages. Passings were frequent, but as the sale progressed competition became keener. Fats were well down on prices realised early in the month. The Associated Auctioneers quote: Pigs: Wenners. 26s to 18s. Sheep: Fat ewes. 29s 6d. 30s 4d. 31s 3d, 335, 34s 6d. 355; do shorn. 26s 3d; wethers, shorn, 26s 3d: do prime. 25s 6d: hoggets, 19s Bd.
