The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua weekly sale as follows:— A fair entry of dairy cows and heifers was offered to a medium attendance of buyers. Dairy cows and heifers showing qquality and near calving were keenly sought after, and realisations were well up to vendors' reserves. Poorer sorts were not in keen demand. However practically a total clearance was effected. A large yarding of pigs was disposed of at auction at prices satisfactory to vendors.

Quotations: Dairy cows (guaranteed sound), good, £l3 ss. £l2 10s to £lO 10s; later calvers, £9 to £8 10s; springing heifers (good), £ll 15s, £ll 10s to £lO 15s; medium quality heifers, £lO to £8 10s. Pigs: Stores, £2 ss. £2 3s, £2 Is to 375; weaners, 28s, 26s 6d, 26s to 255. Sheep: B.F. hoggets. 235.
