BADMINTON

RED STAR v PAHIATUA. WIN FOR NORTHERN TEAM. A very large contingent of players and supporters of the Red Star (Masterton) Badminton Club journeyed to Pahiatua to play a return match with the Pahiatua club. The fixture proved most enjoyable, the standard of play being commendably high. Pahiatua were found to have won when the final checking up of points was made, the score being 21 matches and 575 points to 15 matches and 536 points. Some very close and exciting games eventuated and the local club is to be congratulated on its performance. Details are as follow, visiting players being mentioned first in each instance:
