FURTHER WAR CONTRIBUTIONS TO BRITAIN. LOAN AND SAVINGS BILLS APPROVED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) SINGAPORE. August 26. The Legislative Council approved Bills to raise a Straits Settlements 25.000.000 dollars war loan and 10,000.000 dollars saving certificates to purchase warplanes, to be contributed to Britain.
Simultaneously the Malay States are raising a loan of 20,000,000 dollars in a similar manner.
