MASTERTON RACING CLUB
NOMINATIONS OF OFFICERS NO ELECTION NECESSARY. Nominations of officers of the Masterton Racing Club closed yesterday. As they do not exceed the vacancies, an election will not be necessary. The following will therefore be declared elected unopposed at the annual meeting:—President, Mr J. M. James; vicepresidents, Messrs C. J. Bennett and S. J. W. Gill; stewards, Messrs Walter Cameron, R. Buick, J. H. Payton, I. Macßae, C. J. Toxward, J. B. Moodie and A. Corskie.
Only half the stewards retire each year.
