CHARITY BALL
MANY DEBUTANTES. Yioung ladies who wish to “come out” at the Charity Ball which will be held in the Masterton Municipal Hall next Wednesday week. September 4 are advised to hand their names in to Miss M. Diggins, at the "Times-Age” Office as soon as possible. The names of several debutantes have been received and many more are anticipated. It has been decided to give half the proceeds to the Patriotic Fund, and use the other half for the relief of distress in the district. This generous offer should meet with general approval. An energetic committee is making excellent progress on the work necessary for the success of the ball. A feature of the ball will be the music. which will be supplied continuously by Frank Pool’s Blue River Dance Band and Jack. Barnes's Rhythm Boys. As in the past the supper arrangements will be in the capable hands of a ladies’ committee, and with the hall decorations receiving special attention all that remains is for the public to give the full support the function deserves. Every ticket sold means more comforts for those away on the fighting front and for those in distress on the home front..
