WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

FAREWELL GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Friday afternoon members of the Women’s Institute gathered at the residence of Mrs J. McArley to bid farewell to Mrs C. Roigard. who is leaving the district to reside in Shannon. Cards were played, and the winner was Mrs C. Spackman. Mrs C. Roigard was the recipient of a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers. Afternoon tea was served, and a very happy gathering concluded with a vote of thanks to Mrs McArley for the use of her home. Personal Items. Mr John Childs, of Nelson, is spending a holiday with his mother, Mrs C. M. Childs, of Mauriceville. Mrs J. Gilmour has left Mauriceville on a visit to Blenheim.
