ALL CLASSES SELL WELL. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co. Ltd, report as follows: —A good yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward at our Carterton sale yesterday and was offered to a large attendance. All classes of stock sold well and a total clearance was effected at the following prices:— Sheep: Prime fat wethers, to 44s 6d: prime fat hoggets, 34s to 36s 6d; fat wethers, 37s to 40s. fat and fwd hoggets. 23s to 24s 3d: fat owes, to 37s 3d; wether hoggets, 17s to 20s. Cattle: Holstein cows, close to profit, £lO. £ll, £l2 to £l4; springing Holstein heifers, to £10; springing Jersey heifers, £5, £6 10s, £7. £lO. £lO 5s to 10 10s; Jersey heifers, just calved. £lO to £10'10s; Jersey cows on drop, guaranted sound. £B, £lO 10s. to £l5 ss: fat cows, £6, £7 2s 6d £7 15s. £8 7s. £9 to £lO ss; forward cows, £3 Is. £3 4s. £4 2s 6d to £5; store cows. 355. £2 7s 6d to £2 16s; cows and calves, £3 to £3 7s 6d; springing Jersey cows, £4 to £9. Figs: Weaners (good), 21s (id to 245, (medium) 18s to 21s, (small). 15s to 17s 6d; slips. 27s 6d to 325; store pigs. 34i; to 375: light porkers, 39s to £2 2s: porkers. £2 14s to £3 10s: Sows with litters, to £4 7s 6d: Tamworth boars £2 5s to £2 10s: choppers, to £3 ss; baconers, to £3 18s.
