SOVIET=NAZI PACT
FIRST YEAR SURVEYED BY MOSCOW PAPER. INCREASE IN TRADE CLAIMED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.5 a.m.) MOSCOW, August 23. The "Izvestia,” reviewing the first year of the Russian-German non-ag-gression pact, says: "Russia is helping Germany to beat the British blockade, by supplying raw materials. Germany returning industrial goods and armaments. The commerce between the two nations is now at its greatest since the last war. The treaty is a most important factor for peace and marked a turning point in the history of all Europe—and not Europe alone.” .
