JAPANESE DIPLOMATIC CHANGES STATEMENT BY LONDON EMBASSY. SPECULATIVE REPORTS. The Japanese Embassy denied knowledge of a diplomatic purge in Tokio. Daventry reports. The Chungking correspondent of the “New York Times” says official sources state that the Vichy Government has assured the Chinese diplomat, Dr. Wellington Koo. that Indo-China will not yield to further Japanese encroachments. Foreign arrivals from IndoChina say that the colony has concentrated a sizeable air force and the most modern planes are ready for action.
