STARTING AT THE BOTTOM. When you join the Royal Australian Australian Air Force these days it is a case of starting at the bottom and working up. A newly recruited squad of Air Force men receives elementary training in all phases of modern warfare. All must pass through the stage -of lessons in ground drilling before they take up the more exciting task of learning to fly.
