SHIP BUILDING IN UNITED STATES. The hulls of two ships which are being rushed to construction at the Seattle-Tacoma shipbuilding yards. The hull on the left is 40 percent completed and is scheduled for launching on September 1. The hull on the right is about 10 per cent finished. The ships are being built for the United States Maritime Commission, and will be 416ft long, of a 56 ft beam, and 12 875 tons rating. When the hulls are finished they will be towed to Seattle for the installation of machinery and other furnishings.
