The Empire Dairies have presented Lord Beaverbrook with a cheque for £5OOO to buy a Spitfire, in appreciation of the "glorious action of the R.A.F." Lord Beaverbrook acknowledged the gift with deepest gratitude and said he would endeavour to have the machine allotted to an Australian or New Zealand squadron.
