Mr William Green (president of the American Federation of Labour) urging full American support for Britain to shorten the war. declared: “We will never favour sending our sons to Europe's battlefields, but we can do many things without going to war. I urge that we go the limit, whatever that may be, in giving support to those who are fighting so heroically to have Democracy.”
