JOHNSONVILLE SALE

LATE RATES MAINTAINED. A large yarding of cattle and a smaller yarding of sheep than usual were offered at the sale conducted in Johnsonville yesterday. The bullocks forward comprised chiefly prime heavyweight cattle, with a few pens of medium weights. Extra prime heavy bullocks sold readily, prices showing little alteration on those ruling last week. Medium weight cattle were firmer by 5s a head. Prime quality runners met with a good sale at prices showing no alteration though plain runners wers 5s to 10s a head easier. Vealers met with a keen demand.

No extra prime heavyweight wethers were forward, the pennings comprising light to mediumweight sheep.
