CRICKET ASSOCIATION

PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY.

There was a large and representative gathering in Masterton last night when members of the Wairarapa Cricket Association met to make a presentation to Mr T. Handcock, who is leaving Masterton to take up a position with the Air Force staff.

In making Mr Handcock a presentation. Mr E. Sortain Smith referred to the long term of service he had rendered to the Wairarapa Association as secretary and wished him success in his new sphere. Mr G. B. Peterson (secretary) also referred briefly to Mr Handcock’s work and endorsed the previous speaker’s remarks.

Mr Handcock returned thanks.
