BALFOUR MEMORIAL TROPHY.
(“Times-Age” Special.)
The two final rounds for the Balfour Memorial trophy were played in conjunction with the qualifying rounds for the championship and challenge cup on the Greytown links on Sunday. B. Kiernan again won- the Balfour Memorial Trophy, his rounds for the day being 74, 69, 143; his total for ihe four rounds being 295. J. C. Feast was second with 72, 75, 147; his total for the four rounds being 298. H. W. Feast was third with 82, 77, 159; his total for the four rounds being 310. The Challenge Cup was won by S. C. Shedden, his net score for the four rounds being’ 262. K. Nix was second with 265, and H. B. Bull third with 267.

At the conclusion of play the club captain complimented Mr B. Kiernan on his fine performance in again winning the Balfour Memorial trophy. Mr J. Kiernan (the president) complimented Mr Shedden on his winning the Challenge Cup. He said that considering the condition of the course some very good cards had been handed in, especially by several of the junior members.
The following ladies will represent the Greytown Club in a match to be played against Carterton at Carterton on Wednesday next: —Mrs A. McPhee, Miss Nix, Mrs Maddison, Mrs Gold, Mrs R. Ingley, Miss Booth, Mrs C. Ingley, Mrs G. Ingley and Mrs Gregor.
