OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

GOLF & PETROL (To the Editor). Sir. —In yesterday’s “Times-Age" I noticed you published the names of 32 men who are chosen to represent the Masterton Golf Club in a match against the Hutt Club at the weekend which of course means Sunday. It would be interesting to know what means of transport is to be used to get these 32 men to the Hutt. If by cars what is the use of zoning the butcher, baker and milkman? These men, many of them quite able to do a day’s work, would be better employed in preparing ground for extra vegetables in the coming season. —Yours, etc.. —DISGUSTED. Masterton, August 9.
