WAR SUPPLIES FOR CHINA. PENDING REOPENING OF BURMA ROAD. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) MANILA. August 9. .. Twenty American war planes and minor quantities of dynamite and powder munitions have been unloaded and stored in Manila pending the reopening of the Burma Road. It is understood that the Chungking Government has halted the shipments and the United States is not involved, and consequently they can be reshipped whenever a route to China is available.
