THIRD GRADE RUGBY
DRAW FOR SATURDAY. The third grade Rugby draw for Saturday is as follows: — Eketahuna v. Hukanui, at Eketahuna. at 2 p.m.; Athletic v. Pahiatua. at Pahiatua, at 2 p.m.; Nireaha v. Mangatainoka, at Nireaha, at 2 p.m.; Woodville, a bye. Inter-School Sport. Inter-school football and basketball matches were played between teams from the Pahiatua District High School and Eketahuna District High School at Pahiatua and proved most successful from every point of view. A< Rugby, Pahiatua won by 16' points i< 6 after a very interesting tussle in which football of a high standard wa: played;, Pahiatua school's A basketbal 1 team defeated Eketahuna A by 33 goals to 5, while the home B team accounted for the visitors by 17 to 2. The matches provided plenty of excitement. The visiting teams were entertained to afternoon tea. Personal Items. Sister M. Jones, of the Trenthan Military Camp Hospital, is spending her leave with Mr and Mrs H. Neilson, Parkville. Miss G. Crist, Dannevirke. is the guest of Mrs W. Olsen. Newman Road Miss Olive Falkner. Kaiparoro. returned from a visit to Wellington yesterday.
