BRITISH CHILDREN
U.S. SHIPPING BILL BLOCKED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) WASHINGTON. August 5. In the House of Representatives an objection by Mr F. L. Crawford (Republican) blocked the passage of the Bill authorising American ships to carry refugee children from Britain. The Bill, was handled on the unani-mous-consent calendar, on which a single objection prevents action. It will be considered later under the regular procedure.
