MASTERTON STOCK SALE
PRICES REPORTED FIRM. Prices were again firm at the Masterton stock sale today. There was keen competition for the large yarding of sheep offered and butchers’ representatives operated freely. Top price of the sale was for a prime heavy fat wether, which realised 41s 6d. Up to the time of going to press only fats had been sold. Quotations are: Fat wethers. 325; owes, 18s 3d. 21s 6d, 29s 6d. 325: 4-th do., 275: b.f. hoggets, 20s 9d; Southdown ewes, 235.
