CHILD FATALLY INJURED
HIT BY FATHER'S LORRY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, August 5. Melvin Albert. Prentice. aged 18 months, was fatally injured near his home this afternoon when knocked down by a motor-lorry driven by his father. Mr Mervyn Prentice. Springlands. Mr Prentice had just unloaded logs at his timber mill. He backed away from the ramp and saw the child lying on the ground. Apparently he had toddled unnoticed from the bouse nearby and crawled under the vehicle.
