PILFERING IN LYONS
NUMBER OF PERSONS ARRESTED. GERMAN RADIO STATEMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) LONDON, August 5. The German radio stated that 250 persons were arrested in the neighbourhood of Lyons on charges of pilfering from homes and shops. “The French Press, a few weeks ago,” it is added, “impertinently accused German soldiers of this plundering.”
