QUEEN’S BIRTHDAY
NEW ZEALAND'S LOYAL MESSAGE. Her Majesty the Queen celebrated her fortieth birthday yesterday. As salutes are not fired in war time, there was no salute from Point Jerningham. but flags were flown on public buildings in Wellington. The GovernorGeneral. Viscount Galway, has sent the following message to her Majesty:—“His Majesty's Government and people in New Zealand join with me in tendering to your Majesty respectful congratulations and good wishes on the occasion of your Majesty’s birthday.”
