A communique states: “In East Africa our squadrons bombed Erkowit and Fort Sudan and the airport on the summit of Haiya, where a large hangar was burned. A railroad branch at Haiyya was hit. In Kenya a concentration of auto units was bombed, south of Wajir. During the fighting at Dobel the enemy left 64 dead before retiring, including three officers. A standard of the Sixth Battalion of the King’s African -Rilles was captured. Port Zcila. in Somaliland was elTectively bombed. One of our planes has not returned. An enemy air raid on Port Derna. in East Africa, caused slight damage. One of our submarines has not returned to its base.”
