IN WAKE OF DEVASTATION MR DUFF COOPER DENOUNCES NAZIS. RESULTS OF HITLER REGIME IN GERMANY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, August 3. The Minister of Information, Mr Duff Cooper, in a broadcast, -said, “Goering’s principle of guns before butter has produced increasing hunger in Germany, and shortly it will produce starvation in Europe. “Destruction and devastation march in the vanguard of Nazism and famine rides behind. During Hitler's regime the population of Germany has decreased. diseases have increased, convictions of youthful criminals have doubled, and the numbers of suicides and lunatics have multiplied.
“Typical'' of its stupidity was the 1 leaflet raid over Britain. I have never read such tedious, bombastic, boring balderdash. "I have always hated Hitler, and I will hate him to the end.”
