MONEY POURING IN

4 BRITISH WAR SAVINGS CAMPAIGN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. August 3. Last week a total of £9,192037 was raised in war of which £3,265.562 was from the sale of Savings Certificates, £3,889.475 from, thesale of Defence Bonds, and £2.037.000 from an increase in the balance due to depositors in the Post Office Savings Bank and Trustee Savings Bank. Since the opening of the campaign £lBl, 333,266 has been raised by the sale of Savings Certificates. and £135.418,455 by the sale of Defence Bonds. During the same period the balance due to depositors in the Post Office Savings Bank and Trustee Savings Bank has increased by £46,835,314 giving a grand total of £313 587,035. British colonies in all parts of the world continue to send gifts to his Majesty’s Government to assist in the prosecution of the war. The Governor of. the Gold Coast has transmitted to the Colonial Secretary £7133, being donation to the Gold Coast fund for war charities. The Minister of Aircraft Production has sent a message of thanks to Grenada, Northern Rhodesia, and British Guiana for their gifts to assist the aircraft production.
