NEW ZEALANDER GETS D.F.C. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.23 a.m.) RUGBY, August 2. The citation of the D.F.C. awarded to Pilot-Officer Swift, of Invercargill states: “Since January Pilot-Officer Swift has participated in twenty-eight raids against the enemy. On one occasion Pilot-Officer Swift successfully attacked railway marshalling yards at Osnabruck and a few night later, damaged a hangar at Rotenburg by a bomb. He also machine-gunned two trains south from his target.”
