INSPECTION BY PREMIER. COMMENT ON HITLER'S PROSPECTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) LONDON, July 31. The Prime Minister (Mr Churchill) paid a surprise visit to North-East England and inspected coastal fortifications and defence works. Addressing workers, Mr Churchill said: “I don’t know whether Hitler has missed the bus, but whatever happens he won’t have such a comfortable journey as he might have had a few months ago.”
