CUNARD LINERS
ARRIVAL IN NEW YORK PARTIES OF CHILDREN ON BOARD. SOME IN CARE OF PARENTS OR GUARDIANS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.15 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 29. Two Cunard liners, the Britannic, from Liverpool and the Cameronia, from Glasgow, have arrived at New York. The Britannic’s passengers included Mr Noel Coward, who is stated to be on a diplomatic mission to Washington, Madame Tabouis and Viscount Stonehaven. Children numbering 272, all accompanied by parents, relatives or guardians, arrived under private arrangements to go to friends or relatives in the United States. Fifteen pieces of luggage, labelled “Duke of Windsor,” were aboard, to be sent to Nassau. Mr J. P. Morgan personally greeted Lord Primrose, the eleven-year-old son of Lord Shrewsbury, as well as the two children of a business associate in London. The Cameronia brought about 100 unaccompanied children.
