Tigreterre Wins Rangitikei Hunt Cup RIDDIFORD HANDICAP TO HUNTING ROYAL HUNT CUP AT ROTORUA GOES TO GOLDEN ENGLAND FLASHLIGHT SCORES IN SOUTH CANTERBURY STEEPLECHASE (BY ‘-THE GRAFTER.”) At the Rangitikei Hunt Club’s meeting on Saturday the Hunt Cup went to Tigreterre, a 3/3 favourite which won handsomely from the each-way favourite Blue Steel. The Riddiford Handicap was won by Hunting Royal with an outsider in the Masterton horse, Lady Montana, second. The Hunt Cup Steeplechase at the Rotorua-Bay of Plenty Hunt Club’s meeting was easily won by Golden England, while Young Paddon accounted for the Tally Ho Cup. The South Canterbury Steeplechase at the South Canterbury Hunt Club’s meeting was won by the favourite Flashlight, an outsider in Haughty Winner coming home first in the Claremont Handicap, being a head in front of Nigger Boy.
