WEDDING
BRASH—MILNER. The marriage took place on Saturday, July 13, at St. Patrick’s Church, Palmerston North, of Ngaire Jean Milner, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs J. W. Milner, Mauriceville and Claude William Brash (of H.M.S. Achilles), younger son of Mrs M. Brash, Masterton, and the late Mr James Brash, of Feaiherston. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Keegan. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming model frock of summer gold, with brown squirrel cape, brown hat and accessories. Her bouquet being of green orchids. Mrs Eileen Corlet, sister of the bride, who acted at Matron of Honour, was attired in a smart frock and turban of teale cloth, with tan accessories. Sergeant G. Brash (Third Echelon), brother of the gridegroom, was best man. Miss Barlow presided at the organ and Miss Mollie Deidrich sang “Ave Maria.” A reception dinner was held at the New Commercial Hotel and later the bride and bridegroom left by car for the south.
