PADDY’S MARKET

In aid of red cross funds. Donations for the various departments of the Paddy’s Market continue to pour in to the depot in Perry Street and a committee of ladies is being kept busy sorting and wrapping especially the Surprise Packets being handled by the Savage Club. The packets will be sold for Is and every parcel will contain full value and many will contain more. Donors are urged to bring all goods in early. Among larger donations received recently are 301bs sausages, two complete dinners, a live turkey, a 131 b fruit cake and many others. Owing to petrol restrictions the committee has decided to receive entries for the cake competitions up to 11 a.nr. on the morning of the market at the Municipal Hall to allow country people to compete. Many side shows are being arranged including hoop-la. roll downs, dart throwing, ping-pong blast Paddy's Duck and knock-downs.
