CHURCH SERVICES
At the Lansdowne Presbyterian Church tomorrow morning the service will be taken by the Rev. D. McNeur, while in the evening the Rev. R. Dickie will preach. Mr McNeur will conduct the services at Kaiparoro, Eketahuna and Alfredton on Sunday. Mr Frank Stock, of Wellington, who is keenly interested in youth organisations, will be the speaker at a youth rally on Sunday, in St. Matthew’s Parish Hall, commencing at 4.45 p.m. The Holy Communion will be celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow at 8 a.m., and at Kuripuni and Upper Plain at 9 a.m. Archdeacon Rich will preach both in the morning and evening at St. Matthew’s, and the Rev. T. V. Pearson at Kuripuni at 7 p.m. The services at Knox Church, Tinui and Langdale tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev. John Davie, and at Kaituna by the Bible Class Group. At all these services special prayers will be offered for the Empire. The services at the Church of Christ on Sunday will be conducted by Mr W. J. Lowe. “Why Is God Silent Today?” is the subject to be dealt with by Mr Guilliard, of Hawke’s Bay, in the Ruhamah Gospel Hall on Sunday, at 7 p.m. Those who have heard Mr Guilliard have found his addresses very informative, and all who are interested are cordially invited to hear Sunday night’s address. The services at the Methodist Church tomorrow will be conducted by Rev. H. S. Kings and Mr F. Stock (Wellington). Mr Kings will take as his subject, “The Handicap That Helps.” Mr F. Stock is a well-known youth worker. He has' made a valuable contribution to the youth work of the Dominion, and js looked upon as a "man with a message.” The evening service at Kuripuni will be conducted by the Rev. H. S. Kings, who will speak on “The Secret of Sight.” At the Y.M.C.A. rooms tomorrow morning, the service, commencing at 11 o’clock, in connection with the Master.ton Baptist Fellowship, will be conducted by Mr D. Petrie. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major Ransom, from Petone. Mrs Brigadier Melksham, from Australia (an erstwhile officer of the Masterton Corps) will be present, and will speak at each service. Next Sunday the services will be conducted by Brigadier Florence Birks and Brigadier Smith, with the staff and cadets from the Army Training College, Wellington.
