ALLEGED AIR ATTACK ON ROME REPETITION OF VENICE INCIDENT. NO BRITISH PLANES OVER CITY. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON, July 26. “The Times” says the Italian and German Press are greatly fussing about civilians having been injured on the night of July 23 when anti-aircraft defences went into action against planes over Rome. Officials in London declare that no R.A.F. machines have been over Rome since Italy entered the war. The Hal; ians are merely repeating the Venice incident, when Italian batteries fired on their own. bombers, two of which were brought down.
