AMERICAN BOMBERS TAKEN IN FRANCE ONE DESTROYED & ANOTHER DAMAGED. BY BRITISH FIGHTING PLANES. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, July 25. American bombers captured by the Germans from the French, and used ir* yesterday’s raids over England, were encountered twice by R.A.F. fighters. They were escorted by Messerschmitts. After the first clash one of the American machines, a dive-bomber, was seen to crash into the sea. On the second occasion an American machine was hit and smoke was pouring from it as it turned for home. Included among the other German bombers brought down yesterday was a new Heinkel 113.
