NAZI MISFIRE
ATTITUDE OF MR LLOYD GEORGE. ATTEMPT TO CREATE FALSE IMPRESSION. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 24. A persistent endeavour by Germaninspired broadcasts to create the impression that Mr Lloyd George is working for the substitution of the present Government by one prepared to seek peace from the Axis Powers is surprising in view of the articles by -the veteran statesman in many newspapers throughout the world. One article which appeared in London on Sunday shows that his thoughts are turned rather toward eventual British victory, and expresses his profound belief in the stability of the British character and the steadfastness of the people, united in the determination to win the war and restore the ideals of freedom and good faith to Europe. . -L. , < Mr Lloyd George’s tribute to the energy of the present.
