Mr O. Bunny is a Masterton visitor to Napier. Mr R. Humphries, of Akitio, is on a visit to Napier. Mr J. Carne Bidwill, of Featherston. is a visitor to Napier. Mr S. W. S. Beedie, of Pahiatua. has received instructions to proceed to Levin to be trained as an air pilot. Mr G. W. Shaw, M.A., is a relieving teacher at Wairarapa College, in place of Captain R. J. Fowler, who is in a Territorial Camp. Acting-Flight Sergeant R. A. J. Anderson, who was recently reported missing, believed killed, during air operations, joined the R.N.Z.A.F. in November, 1936. at Hobsonville, later going to Wigram for advanced training in wireless. In 1939 he left jor England as one of the crews that were to fly Wellington bombers to New Zealand, but he remained in England after the outbreak of war. His last letter received in Wellington said he was serving as observer, wireless operator and gunner in a bomber squadron.
