SCHOOL HOLIDAYS TRAIN TRIPS FOR CHILDREN “FHE calls upon the family purse for assistance in the war effort make it difficult for some people to save for holidays, however much they may feel the need of them. But by limiting their spending on non-essentials, the necessary funds may be built up for refreshing train trips, especially for mothers and children during the school holidays. T here is apt to be a nervous and emotional strain on the young folk, who, just now, are living in an atmosphere of war conditions. A trip by train during the school holidays is therefore a pleasant change as well as a timely tonic for parents and children alike. A DUTY TO THE YOUNG FOLK
