CARD PARTY. The weekly card party held las* night under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A. Ladies’ Auxiliary proved again the popularity of these functions there being a large attendance. The prizewinners in the bridge were Mrs Palmer and Mr Krahagen. and ir. the 500 section Mrs McGrath and Mr W. Clarke were successful. The result of a competition for e beautifully worked cushion donated by the Townswomen’s Guild, created lively interest, the winner being Mis' Gwen Pither. whose guess was onlyfive beans short of the actual numbei (834). A committee of ladies server simper. The next party will be held on Thursday. August 8 a start at 7.45 p.m. instead of 8 will be made.
