WAIKINO MURDER
TRIAL CONTINUED TODAY MRS HAMILTON’S INJURIES. VIEWS OF DOCTORS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. This Day. When the Waikino murder trial was resumed today, Dr. Gilmour was crossexamined at length on his expressed view about the wounds on Mrs Hamilton’s forehead. Dr. Edgar Fowler agreed with, the previous witness that, apart from the head wounds, Mrs Hamilton's injuries would not have caused death before 24 hours after she was injured; that was subject to the exception that there was a possibility of immediate death from shock. Replying to a question, witness agreed that the taking of a woman with such grave bodily injuries for a distance along the road in a car would increase the shock, and might hasten death. Severe pain might cause temporary unconsciousness. The case is proceeding. (Earlier evidence in the case appears on Page 5.)
