THREE NEW ZEALANDERS WOUNDED RESULT OF AIR BOMBING. FIRST OFFICIAL CASUALTY LIST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Three men have been wounded as the result of air bombing, according to an announcement in Wellington yesterday of the first official casualties to members of the first echelon of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in Egypt. The casualties are as follows: — Driver Clarence Leonard Andrews, wounded as result of air bombs. His mother is Mrs B. G. Andrews, 154 Vincent Street. Auckland. Driver John Ariel Graham, wounded as result of air bombs. His mother is Mrs M. M. Graham, Charles Street, West Shore. Napier. Corporal O. Pussell, wounded as result of air bombs. His father is Mr O. Pussell, P. 0.. Kimbolton. The injury to Corporal Pussell was reported in yesterday’s issue. The following Air Force casualties were announced last night. Flying Officer Samuel Miles Mackenzie Watson. missing, believed killed in air operations. Father: Mr M. Watson. 8 Halswell Street. Wellington. Sergeant John Lewis Owen, missing, believed killed in operations. His mother is Mrs G. Owen, 118 Tinakori Road, Wellington. Sergeant Owen was born in Wanganui. An unofficial report that Lieutenant Reginald Joseph Braithwaite Miles. Papatoetoe. Auckland, was saved from the aircraft-carrier Glorious, is denied by official advice received in Wellington. “The report that Lieutenant Miles was saved.” states the message, “is entirely without foundation. Lieutenant Miles has not been seen or heard of since a few minutes before the Glorious sank.” Lieutenant Miles s father is Brigadier R. Miles, at present with the New Zealand forces overseas. His three sisters live in Wellington.
