MARTINBOROUGH

BADMINTON TEAM (“Times-Age” Special.) The following players will represent Martinborough against Masterton at Masterton on Thursday night: Ladies, Mrs Turner, Misses Lenz. Collier and R. Lumley; men. C. Gair. E. McAlpine E. Evans. R. McDonald. Hockey. The Martin borough team is showing better form with every game, and the experience they are gaining is standing them, in good stead. Although beaten on Saturday by College B the Martinborough girls put up a great fight, the game being fairly even. Once again R. Lumley hit well and scored a splendid goal from a very difficult angle. M. McKinley scored Martinborough's other goal. P. Trounce played well but did not have the co-opera-tion. of her other forwards. J. McCardle was very safe at full back in the first half, but in the second spell she was placed on the half line. Her position is undoubtedly full back, where she renders particularly good service.
