BRITISH HOME GUARD
STRENGTH OF OVER 1,300,000. RECRUITING TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) LONDON, July 23. The Secretary of State for War, Mr Anthony Eden, in the House of Commons, stated that the strength o£ the Home Guard exceeded 1.300.000 and that recruiting had been temporarily suspended.
