ELEVEN MORE SHOT DOWN IN BRITAIN FIVE DEFENDING PLANES MISSING. ACTIONS ON SOUTH-EAST COAST. Eleven more German aircraft were destroyed in raids on Britain yesterday, Daventry reports. FightCommand aircraft and anti-air-craft fire engaged large forces of enemy aeroplanes in several actions on the South-East Coast. Eight German planes were shot down by fighters and one by antiaircraft fire and several others were damaged. The number reported shot down round the coast during the day totalled eleven, four bombers and seven figtiters. Five British fighters are missing.
