MASTERTON CLUB. PAIRS COMPETITION. The Masterton Indoor Bowling Club's pairs competition is nearing completion. Hearps and Pinkney (s) lead in the A section with seven wins and two losses. If this pair win their final game they will play the winners of B section which is now headed by McNab and Edwards <s) with eight wins, two losses. Progressive pairs games will be commenced on Tuesday and the fixtures arc as follow: Tuesday-—7 p.m., No 1. Butler and Pickering (s) v Harris and Buckley (s); No 2. Anstice and Henson (s) v Hearps and Walker (s); 8 p.m.. No 1. Catton and Stains (s) v Attree and Roff is): No 2. Petersen and Mayes (s). v O'Donnell and McFarlane <s); 9 p.m.. No 1 Hanley and R. Read (s) v Phillips and Hendry (s); No 2, Park Ferns game, J. Read and Finlayson s) v Butler and Stains (s). Thurs-day-Final games in pairs championship: 7 p.m.. No 1, Nuttall v Grantham: No 2. Leigh v Finlayson; 8 p.m., No 1. Leigh v Dixon; No 2, Hendry v Fenton; 9 p.m.. No 1, Pinkney v Fenton: No 2. Walker v Miller. Players must attend progressive pairs games as substitute games cannot be included in the points and games totals.
